Introductions are necessary.....unfortunately!

Hello all!!!

I'm Jax and I am newbie to running a blog, but this is something I have wanted to start for some time now. This blog will cover just about anything from my weight loss journey to the chart topping country stars to family & friends. I'm sure after some time I will find my niche in the blogging world, but until then I plan to try a little bot of everything.

For starters I will introduce myself I a little bit more. As I said my name is Jax and I am 25 years old. I was born and bread in a small town in Ohio. A place where we use the sweeper, not the vacuum. I graduated from Kent State University in 2010 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Many people ask me what my degree qualifies me to do, however I'm not 100% sure anymore. Upon graduation I was enthusiastic about starting my young career in the marketing industry. I had plenty of knowledge and experience (from internships) under my newly purchased shoes. My resume was perfected, portfolio printed, and cover letter proof read. There was only one little problem and that was my college degree itself. Interview after interview after interview went by. I began to notice a pattern with each potential employer and that was the infamous question "What exactly is a Communication Studies major?" I retold the description given to me by my college guidance councilor, but it wasn't enough. The potential employer would only continue to ask "What exactly does that mean?" All in all nobody knew exactly what I would offer to there company. Not one potential employer wanted to take a gamble on a newly accomplished Communication Studies graduated form KSU when they weren't sure how I would benefit rather than hinder their profit.

This has been an hindrance on my young career. I have bounced around to a few different professions, landing in everything from retail to sales and not feeling completely content with any. However recently, while job searching on Indeed.com I came across a position with a pet Hospital. After, months and months of consideration about returning to school I though "What the hell!" I applied and within 24 hours received a phone call and then within three days I had landed the job. My employer really enjoyed my communication and marketing background. It's now been about three months and I am loving life. I enjoy working with the pets and am planning to return to VT school in the summer.

I know this post was more than likely boring, but I feel if your reading my blog you should know a little about me :) I look forward to getting to know all of you!!!

Until the next, see ya!
